Niu Hai. Male. Professor and postgraduate tutor at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Niu received a PhD in economics from Fudan University. His research focuses on the socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics and social welfare and social security. From September 2015 to September 2016, Niu was a visiting scholar at the Department of Political Economy of the University of Massachusetts. He has published over 20 scientific and teaching research papers in journals including Journal of Shandong University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition), Journal of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Inquiry Into Economic Issues, Lanzhou Academic Journal, South China Finance, and Theory and Reform. He chaired and completed 3 projects: the Youth Program of Humanities and Social Science Fund of the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project, and the Scientific Research and Innovation Project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. He also chaired and completed 1 Teacher Practice Project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Niu also took part in a National Social Science Fund project and published 1 monograph and translated 1 book (as the second author).
