Hu Xuming. A professor (Hujiang Scholar), a postgraduate tutor, and associate dean of the School of Marxism in the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). As a PhD, Hu is the director of the Center for A Comparative Study of Chinese and Foreign Marxism and a visiting scholar in the Department of Philosophy at Duquesne University. Hu is also a member of the publicity group to study and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress in Shanghai, a Young Talent of Teaching and Researching on Marxism in Shanghai, Dawn Scholar in Shanghai, Sunshine Scholar in Shanghai, a director of the Society of Contemporary Foreign Marxism Research of China, director of Shanghai Marxism Research Association, and executive director of Youth Forum of the Society of Philosophy of Shanghai. In recent years, Hu chaired and completed sub-projects of major projects of the National Social Science Fund, projects of Humanities and Social Science Research Fund of the Ministry of Education, and projects of Shanghai Dawn Program and Shanghai Sunshine Program. Moreover, Hu has published 2 books and over 40 academic papers.
