Xu Shuihua. Male. Han nationality. An associate professor and a postgraduate tutor at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). He is from Pinghu, Zhejiang Province and has a master's degree in law. Xu’s research focuses on Marxist basic principles and Marxist ecological philosophy.
Xu graduated from the School of Political Science and Law of Xiamen University with a bachelor's degree in June 1986. Since July 1986, Xu has been working in USST (formerly East China University of Technology and Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Engineering). Xu received a master’s degree in law from Fudan University in 2003.Xu chaired a project of Humanities and Social Science Research Fund of the Ministry of Education: “Productivity Theory in Capital and the Study on Its Practice in Contemporary China”, a Scientific Research and Innovation Project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission: “a special study on MarxistEcological Philosophy, and a key course construction project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission: “Introduction to Marxist Basic Principles”. Xu has published nearly 30 papers in journals including Social Sciences of Beijing, Studies in Philosophy of Science and Technology, Hubei Social Sciences, Truth Seeking, Academic Forum, and Journal of Socialist Theory Guide. He also edited An Introduction to Philosophy and wrote and published Productivity Theory in “Capital” and the Study on Its Practice in Contemporary China.
