Kong Na. I was born in a coastal city in Shandong. When I grew up, I studied philosophy at Beijing Normal University to follow Confucius’s steps. Confused, I took a master’s program for further study. But I was still confused and considered it a tragedy for a woman to study philosophy. So I said a fond farewell to my classmates and teachers as I went to Shanghai for love. Then I found a teaching job at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Since then, I have been teaching courses such as sociology and the introduction to Maoism for about ten years. A teacher should propagate the doctrine, impart professional knowledge, and resolve doubts, while I am afraid I resolve doubts only. I am delighted with a positive classroom atmosphere. I am content to be recognized by students in spite of a low salary. Besides, I love freedom, books, and traveling, always dreaming of traveling the world. My research focuses on ideological and political education and cultural quality education.
